Android is the most popular mobile system today. Yet, its popularity, coupled with the openness of its ecosystem, leads to the proliferation of malicious applications. If you have an Android device, chances are you have got malware there. Thus it is very important that we dissect Android security and improve it.
Currently I am interested in the following aspects of Android security:
- Malware detection on Android. This work is done within the COMMA research project that I lead.
- Code coverage in dynamic analysis.
- Static and dynamic analysis for Android security.
- Detecting repackaged Android applications.
- NLP technologies for improving Android security.
