Postdoc position in Embedded systems security

The University of Luxembourg is looking to strengthen the Security and Trust of Software Systems (SaToSS) group of its Faculty of Science, Technology and Communication, with a

POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCHER (m/f)
in Embedded Systems Security

Security and reliability is one of the strategic priorities of the University of Luxembourg. This vacancy concerns the recently approved project on Embedded Systems Security.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong interest in embedded systems security. Possible topics include:

• security and mobility;
• wireless communication security;
• security testing;
• security at software or programming language level;
• RFID and smartcard security.

We expect:

• PhD in computer science (or equivalent) with a publication record in embedded systems security;
• inquisitiveness, commitment, creativity, social skills;
• very good written and oral English skills;
• a working knowledge of German and/or French is an advantage.

Your tasks will be to:

• carry out research in security;
• supervise PhD, Master, and/or Bachelor students;
• write (or support in writing) grant proposals;
• assist in teaching.

We offer:

• a 2-year contract, extendable (with 1 year) for 40 hours/week;

• a competitive remuneration (between 43000 and 52500 Euro/year netto).
